Just like the title says, Unlock The Guitar is about all you can do with it. After you learn how to unlock the guitar there's not much more you learn in relations to really learning how to play. This fails greatly incomparison to our top two choices. It's great at telling you how to hold the guitar and situate yourself into a comfortable playing position and the ebooks have some nice pictures and are very well organized, but I could see where a beginner would start to get bored and possibly give up after while. It approaches learning the guitar in a completely different way than our top two choices.
There are absolutely no videos and the only audio files you get are those of what chords should sound like. This way you can tell whether or not you're playing the chord correctly, I imagine. Jared Crebs, the author spends more time advising the beginning guitarist on choosing and buying a guitar, on how to tune a guitar, holding it properly and training the finger muscles and memory.

Summary:
Unlock The Guitar is not a bad product. If I had no idea of our top 2 choices, then this wouldn't be a bad route to go. It's a little outdated in terms of how everything online today is going to interactive videos and audios, but if you are just wanting to learn the basics for playing as a hobbie and casually, you may want to go this route. There is alot of stuff in this product, but the main thing is the way it's presented.
Final Thought:
If your really serious about learning or think that there might be some slim chance you want to go further with your playing, take the money you'd spend on this and put it towards either Learn & Master Guitar or Jamorama. If you like reading more than actually seeing and being taught by video, then you'd like this course. In comparison of price to value this does not even compare.

I was a little disappointed with this and lost focus rather quickly. I can't really give it to much of an honest review because I didn't stick with it. Me and my best friend are now taking lessons from an instructor in Macon and I say this is the way to go.

For the price and for what is included I can't complain about my purchase however in my opinion you can learn some stuff from watching videos on youtube and some other sites, especially if you're wanting to know how to play certain songs.
